Position:               Registered Nurse

Description:          The nurse conducts general hearing, vision and health
                             screening of all students; provides contacts for additional
                             medical evaluations when necessary. Keeps up-to-date student
                             immunization records.  Gathers data for student immunization
                             records and case histories.  Works with teachers, parents
                             and community health personnel.  Provides individual student health
                             services. Serves on the Educational Appraisal and Review
                             committees.  The candidate must abide by all district rules and
                             regulations contained in the Deming Public Schools Official manual.

Qualifications:      Licensed Registered Nurse license. 

                           Possess, or be eligible to apply for, a valid/current New Mexico School Nurse License.

Beginning Date:    2016-2017 School Year School Year

Salary:                  Appropriate step on teaching salary schedule. 

                            Beginning salary is $32,059.00 with an AA/BS degree. 

                            Funded out of Operational Funds
